Linux Video Editing Software - What an Open Source Sony Vegas Looks Like






This quick tutorial will teach you how to put together a video complete with titles, transitions and effects! It's easy to learn the basics of video editing, especially in Linux! The program I used is called Kdenlive, It's like Sony Vegas, except it's free and open-source! www.kdenlive.org

    I like this so far, but can I merge or overlay videos like i use to in my old windows movie maker?, and also how bout fast and slow motion?....I was about to download Power Director but there is so many silly and fake looking effects...if I can do the overlays and the motion control i can create my own effects... I just dont have need for my hair blower to shoot a lazer beam!....HA HA HA!

    Wow linux is becoming a serious alternative to more mainstream OSs more and more everyday! 3 years ago video editing programs (good ones...) was the missing ingredient for me (cinerella was the best I found back then...)

    Worth mentioning... Lightworks Video Editor is going open source. Soon we'll have professional video editing software for free :)

    You can already apply for closed beta testing ^^
